In December 2011, the “Tenth Conference of Carbon Materials” has held in Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University. More than 200 experts and scholars from colleges and universities, research institutes and industrial sectors attended this meeting.
Domestic researchers are still active in the research of traditional carbon materials such as carbon-based composite materials, porous carbon surface adsorption and catalysis. There also have new progress in the research of theory, performance and application. Due to the advantages of light weight, rich control structure, good chemical stability and strong biocompatibility, carbon materials have broad prospects and good basis for preliminary research in energy storage , such as supercapacitor electrodes, lithium-ion battery electrodes, fuel cells, etc.
